Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness & Meditation

There is a common misunderstanding that all meditations are the same, or that there is only one type of meditation. This makes a lot of teachers like me giggle. It feels like equating rock climbing to football or badminton. Different practices offer different results.

This platform was imagined as a doorway for the discovery of the Mindfulness and Compassion practices.

Exploring Mindfulness

I don't remember the first time I heard the word mindfulness. For some reason, I go back to "Mind The Gap", the yellow warning you see on the tube in London announcing that you have to watch your step boarding the carriage. I guess it was from that day that I became aware of being mindful. Here you will find guided practices, from mindfulness of breath, body, loving kindness and other reflections on compassion, presence and cultivating intention. And you can find out more about what mindfulness is all about!

LovingKindness Meditation

Lovingkindness - Kindness as the water of humanity

Lovingkindness or Metta, is a practice that invites a genuine intention, first directed towards oneself, before turning to others and the whole world, to be healthy, at ease and safe from harm. Far from being a simple wish or a prayer, Metta doesn’t change our situations yet it may change how we relate to ourselves and each other over time.
